AIR 5.183 - Has the State developed procedures and checklists for the issuance/renewal of a certificate of airworthiness?

Guidance for review of protocol question

  • Review procedures to include at least the following:
  1. Application completed and submitted to the AID
  2. Design standards and airworthiness requirements to which the aircraft was type-certificated
  3. Review and retention of documents, such as:

a) Type certificate and type certificate data sheet or equivalent
b) Flight manual or equivalent document
c) Mass and balance report
d) Electrical load analysis

Note: This may also be accomplished by a certification from an approved organization that the aircraft is airworthy
