Västerås Airport, now known as Stockholm Västerås Airport and originally as Hässlö Flygplats is located about 5 km2.7 nm <br />5,000 m <br />16,404.199 ft <br /> east of Västerås city centre and about 110 km59.395 nm <br />110,000 m <br />360,892.389 ft <br /> west of Stockholm, Sweden. Most movements are general aviation but since attracting some low cost operators, it has been renamed by the airport operator as 'Stockholm Västerås'. It was originally a Swedish Air Force base when it was called 'Hässlö Flygplats'.
