An American not for profit organisation formed by the Directors of the Airlines For America (A4A) in 1998 as a educational resource for journalists reporting on aviation safety related stories and more generally for the promotion of public understanding of the high safety standards and good safety record of the civil aviation industry.
In 2005, the Aviation Safety Alliance was absorbed by the Flight Safety Foundation (FSF).
