Description

International airport 25 nm north east of Orlando, Florida, USA. Sanford is Orlando's secondary airport (primary is Orlando International Airport) but is, because of the amount of flight training, one of the busiest airports in the world in terms of take-offs and landings. Served by many British charter operators.

Climatology

Humid “subtropical” climate (Köppen climate classification Cfa) - characterized by hot, humid summers and cool winters. From October to March the temperatures are more moderate and rain less frequent. Most summer rainfall occurs during thunderstorms and occasional tropical storms (hurricanes).
