Description

Grand Canyon National Park Airport is a state-owned public-use airport located in Tusayan, Coconino County, Arizona. It is near Grand Canyon National Park and is located seven miles from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The airport is primarily used for scenic tours and charter flights, but there is also scheduled commercial service.

Climatology

Cold Semi-arid climate (Köppen climate classification BSk). - Hot, sometimes extremely hot summers and cold, sometimes very cold winters. Some snowfall during the winter. Areas featuring cold semi-arid climates are sometimes subject to major temperature swings during a 24 hour period.
