Accidents & Serious Incidents at or in vicinity of UAAA

  • CL60, Almaty Kazakstan, 2007 (On 26 December 2007, a Bombardier Challenger crashed after its crew lost roll control during rotation for a night take off. The Investigation concluded that an asymmetric loss of lift had occurred and that this had probably been a consequence of ineffective pre-flight ground de-icing aggravated by departure without the wing anti-ice system on. It was also considered that an excessive rate of rotation with a contaminated wing could have contributed to the loss of control and that the wing of this aircraft type is widely known to be hypersensitive to frozen deposits contamination of the leading edge.)
