Description

This SKYbrary portal is specially designed for the needs of the National Supervisory Authorities established under the single European sky legislation (SES). The tasks of the NSAs are set forth in the four basic SES Regulations and in the implementing rules as appropriate.

Created to ensure compliance with the requirements for the provision of Air Navigation Services and Air Traffic Management in the European Union, NSAs would need frequent consultation with legislative or guidance material which today is fragmented and coming from various sources.

This portal facilitates the access to an extensive collection of regulatory, guidance or advisory material of interest to NSAs. Its scope is wider than SES and EASA legislation, since the work of NSAs often requires interaction and consultation with legal acts falling outside the scope of SES and EU law in general, however still related to the provision of ATM/ANS. Therefore this NSA corner contains links or references to relevant material and in particular that of the European Union, EUROCONTROL and ICAO documents.

In addition, the ‘NSA Corner’ provides access or links to available practices in order to facilitate the exchange among NSAs with the aim of developing, when appropriate, a common approach towards the implementation of relevant legislative provisions The knowledge made avialable is organised in three sub-sections:

  • Legal framework (legislative acts and means of compliance),
  • guidance and advisory material, and
  • available practices.
